Privacy policy
Effective Date: July 1, 2026
INTRODUCTION
Dragonfly Creations LLC ("Dragonfly Creations," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit www.DragonflyCreationsTX.com, place an order with us, request a quote or consultation, or otherwise interact with our business.
We are a small custom-goods business based in Cypress, Texas. Most of the personal information we collect comes directly from you when you place an order or work with us on a custom project. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not currently use advertising tracking technologies on our website.
By using our website or placing an order with us, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect personal information directly from you, automatically from your use of our website, and from the third-party services we use to run our business. The categories of information we collect are described below.
Contact and order information. When you place an order, request a quote, or contact us, we collect your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, phone number, and the details of your order or inquiry. Payment information (credit or debit card details) is processed securely through Shopify Payments and HoneyBook — we do not store your full payment card details on our systems.
Custom order content. To design and produce your custom order, we collect the content you provide for personalization. This may include names, dates, monograms, quotations, text, images, logos, artwork, event details, and guest or family information (for example, a guest list for a seating chart or family names for a monogram). In the Custom Order Agreement, we refer to this as "Client Content." Some of this content may include the personal information of third parties (such as wedding guests or family members) — see Section 5 for how we handle sensitive information and information about children.
Communications. When you communicate with us by email, through our website contact form, through HoneyBook, or by phone, we keep records of those communications, including the content of your messages, the date and time, and any attachments you send.
Website usage information. When you visit our website, certain information is collected automatically by our hosting and analytics platform (Shopify Analytics), including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages you view, the date and time of your visit, and the website that referred you to us. We use this information to understand how visitors use our website and to improve your experience. See Section 4 for more on cookies and analytics.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:
• Order fulfillment. To process and fulfill your order, design your custom project, communicate with you about your order status and design proofs, ship your finished goods, and provide customer support.
• Business operations. To respond to inquiries, send order confirmations and shipping notifications, prepare and send invoices and receipts, manage proposals and contracts, schedule consultations, and maintain our business records.
• Legal and tax compliance. To comply with applicable laws and regulations, including tax reporting, accounting requirements, and any legal obligations that apply to our business.
• Marketing and portfolio use. As stated in the Custom Order Agreement, we may use photographs of completed custom products for our portfolio, on our website, and on our social media accounts to showcase our work to prospective customers. We make reasonable efforts to protect sensitive identifying information when we do so. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not currently share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes.
• Website improvement. To analyze how visitors use our website, identify and fix technical issues, and improve our products and services over time.
The design proofs, artwork, and other creative materials we provide to you are governed by the terms of the Custom Order Agreement, including its intellectual property terms. Nothing in this Privacy Policy grants you any additional right to use, reproduce, or share those materials beyond what the Custom Order Agreement allows.
3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We share your personal information only with the third-party service providers we use to run our business, and only to the extent necessary for those providers to perform their services for us. These providers have their own privacy policies that govern how they handle your information.
• Shopify (e-commerce platform and payment processing) — hosts our online store and processes payment card transactions for direct purchases.
• HoneyBook (client management and proposals) — stores and processes your "Project Details" and "Approved Proof" for custom orders, manages our proposals and contracts, and handles payment processing for custom orders. Your Custom Order Agreement is signed in HoneyBook.
• Calendly (appointment scheduling) — manages consultation bookings and scheduling.
• Salesforce (customer support) — stores and manages customer support cases and inquiries.
• Google Workspace (email and document storage) — handles our business email communications and document storage.
• Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) — receive your shipping address and order details to deliver your finished goods.
We may also share your information when required by law, in response to a valid subpoena or legal process, to protect our rights or property, to prevent fraud, or to comply with a government or regulatory request. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
4. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to provide basic store functionality (such as keeping your shopping cart contents) and to help us understand how visitors use our website. The analytics we currently use are provided through Shopify Analytics, which is part of our e-commerce platform.
We do not currently use advertising or marketing tracking pixels (such as Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or Google Ads tracking) on our website. If that changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required by applicable law, provide a way for you to consent to or decline non-essential tracking before it loads.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some features of the website may not function correctly. Disabling cookies in your browser does not affect any cookies that have already been placed on your device — you can clear those through your browser as well.
5. CHILDREN'S AND SENSITIVE INFORMATION
Many of our products are made for weddings, family events, and personal occasions, which means the Client Content you provide may sometimes include the names of children or family members, family lists, or other personal details. We handle this information with care and only use it to fulfill your order.
Children's information. Our website and services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through our website. If you provide us with Client Content that includes the name or other personal information of a child under 13 (for example, a child's name on a monogram, or a child's name in a family list for a seating chart), you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have permission from the parent or legal guardian to provide that information for the purpose of fulfilling your order. We will use that information only to produce the items in your order, and we will not use it for marketing, sell it, or share it with third parties except as described in Section 3.
Sensitive information. We do not ask for and do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal information, such as Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account credentials, health information, or information about your race, ethnicity, religion, immigration status, or sexual orientation. Please do not send us this kind of information; it is not needed to design or produce your order. If you accidentally send us sensitive information, please let us know and we will delete it from our records as soon as we reasonably can.
Parental rights. If you are a parent or legal guardian and you believe we have collected personal information about your child in a way that is not consistent with this Section, please contact us at support@dragonflycreationstx.com and we will review your request and respond promptly.
6. DATA SECURITY
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information. Most of the personal information you provide to us is stored within the third-party platforms identified in Section 3 — Shopify, HoneyBook, Salesforce, Calendly, and Google Workspace — each of which maintains its own security program and infrastructure designed to protect customer data.
On our end, we use industry-standard practices including secure passwords, two-factor authentication where available, encrypted password storage, and access limited to the people who need it for legitimate business purposes. Payment information is processed by Shopify Payments and HoneyBook using their own secure payment systems; we do not store your full payment card details.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur. If there is a security breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as described in Section 7.
7. DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION
If we become aware of a confirmed security breach that compromises your unencrypted sensitive personal information, we will notify you without unreasonable delay, and in any event within the time required by applicable law, including the Texas Identity Theft Enforcement and Protection Act. Our notice will describe, to the extent known, the nature of the breach, the categories of information involved, and the steps you may want to take in response.
Where the breach involves a sufficient number of Texas residents or otherwise triggers a regulatory reporting requirement, we will also notify the Texas Attorney General and any other authorities as required by law.
8. DATA RETENTION
We keep your personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as long as required by law. In general:
• Order and transaction records (including the Custom Order Agreement, invoices, payment records, and the items in your order) are kept for at least seven (7) years after the date of the transaction, consistent with tax and business-record retention requirements.
• Client Content provided for personalization (names, dates, monograms, guest lists, photos, artwork) is kept for the duration of the active project and for a reasonable period afterward in case of reorders, warranty claims, or related inquiries — generally up to three (3) years after order completion, after which it may be deleted or archived.
• Email and consultation records are kept for as long as the business relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterward, generally up to three (3) years after the last interaction.
• Website analytics data is kept according to Shopify Analytics' own retention practices.
We may keep information longer than the periods above if we are required to by law, if it is needed for an ongoing legal matter, or if it is needed to enforce or defend our rights under the Custom Order Agreement. You can request deletion of your information as described in Section 9, subject to those exceptions.
9. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
You have choices about how we use your personal information, and you have certain rights regarding the personal information we hold about you. The specific rights that apply to you depend on where you live and the applicable privacy laws. Regardless of where you live, we offer the following:
• Access. You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and request a summary.
• Correction. You can ask us to correct personal information that is inaccurate.
• Deletion. You can ask us to delete personal information we hold about you, subject to the retention requirements in Section 8 and any legal obligations we have to keep it.
• Communication preferences. You can ask us to stop sending you marketing or promotional emails. We will still send you transactional messages related to your order (such as order confirmations, shipping notifications, and proof approvals) because those are necessary to fulfill your order.
To make a request, contact us at support@dragonflycreationstx.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, and we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Some U.S. state privacy laws give residents of those states additional rights. We comply with the requirements of any state privacy law that applies to our business. If a specific state law gives you rights beyond those described above, you may exercise those rights by contacting us at the email address above. See Section 10 for information specific to California residents.
10. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"), may give you specific rights regarding your personal information. These include the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to access your personal information, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to be free from discrimination for exercising your rights.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. The personal information we collect, the purposes we use it for, and the third parties we share it with are described in Sections 1 through 3.
To exercise any rights you may have under California law, contact us at support@dragonflycreationstx.com using the same process described in Section 9.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our business, or applicable law. When we make a material change, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this policy and post the updated policy on our website. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of our website or services after we update this policy means you accept the updated terms.
